Choose round yarn dryer fabric when: 1) Maximum abrasion resistance is required (e.g., machines with abrasive fillers or recycled fiber); 2) Contamination resistance is a priority (round yarn sheds contaminants better); 3) Double warp construction is needed for higher tensile strength; 4) Service life is the primary consideration over drying efficiency. Round yarn fabrics typically last 10–20% longer but provide slightly lower heat transfer than flat yarn.

Flat woven uses single warp yarns, offering a smooth surface and good sheet contact. Double warp uses paired warp yarns for 25–30% higher tensile strength — recommended for heavy-duty applications like kraft paper, linerboard, and wide machines where maximum durability is required. Round yarn fabrics perform reliably on machines up to 1,800 m/min. For the highest-speed applications (1,800+ m/min), flat yarn may provide better sheet stability due to larger surface contact area. We recommend flat yarn for tissue machines above 1,800 m/min and for applications where maximum drying efficiency is critical.

We recommend high-pressure shower cleaning (40–60 bar) at regular intervals, with chemical cleaning using alkaline or enzymatic cleaners every 2–4 weeks for recycled fiber applications.
