Flat Yarn Dryer Fabric
Premium flat rectangular yarn dryer fabric with ≥65% surface contact area for superior paper support, minimal sheet marking, and 8-12% steam savings.

Round Yarn Dryer Fabric
High-permeability round yarn dryer fabric (800–1200 L/m²·s) — the economical choice for heavy paper grades requiring maximum moisture removal.
Select Dryer Fabric by Position and Operating Conditions
A dryer fabric should not be purchased from dimensions and permeability alone. Each dryer group has different sheet strength, ventilation, temperature, contamination and mechanical risks, so structure, seam and cleanability must be compared position by position.
| Design | Selection Focus | Typical Considerations |
|---|---|---|
| Flat-yarn dryer fabric | Sheet support and surface contact | Marking, cleaning, permeability and tension |
| Round-yarn dryer fabric | Balance of stability, permeability and wear | Position, speed, wear points and service life |
| Spiral dryer fabric | Open structure, cleaning and seam installation | Sheet support, marking risk, contamination and guiding |
Dryer Fabric Selection FAQ
What data is needed to select a dryer fabric?
Provide the exact dryer group and position, paper grade and basis weight, operating speed, fabric dimensions, permeability, seam requirement, hood conditions, cleaning method, and the current fabric's contamination, guiding or wear history.
How do flat-yarn, round-yarn and spiral dryer fabrics differ?
Flat-yarn designs generally emphasize sheet support and surface contact, round-yarn designs balance stability, permeability and wear, while spiral structures are often considered where an open, easy-to-clean design suits the position. Final selection depends on the dryer group and sheet requirements.
Is higher dryer fabric permeability always better?
No. Permeability must match the position, ventilation system, sheet support, speed and contamination load. Excessive openness can reduce support or disturb local air behavior, so a fabric should not be selected from one permeability value alone.
